The TSLIS (Toronto Special Libraries and Information Services) Network is a CLA Network formed with the intention of carrying on the work of CASLIS Toronto within the new Structure of the Canadian Library Association.

We are a group of local special librarians and “non-traditional” info professionals dedicated to sharing, promoting and benefiting from the wealth of knowledge in our professional community here in Toronto.  We are a diverse network, with members including librarians in fields like news, law, business and government, as well as research consultants, prospect researchers, and students. Our network hosts both professional development nights and community socials between September and May each year. Check out our program page for up to date information on what’s coming up and then come on out to learn from our great colleagues and to meet like-minded individuals.

We also offer opportunities for mentorship (as a mentor or mentee), volunteering and community building at the local level, as well as access to CLA national. Looking to do a bit more than just attend an event? We’re always happy to take on volunteers for our executive board – many hands make light work! If you’re interested in volunteering, email our network moderator at tslis.network@gmail.com.
